With the launch of Tennent’s Original Export we wanted to celebrate the iconic red T at the heart of the brand, but distinguish it from our parent brand. Steven’s response clearly differentiated this for consumers using a striking design to reflect his view of the best of Scotland. True to the proposition, his design features iconic architecture such as the Forth Rail Bridge, Charles Rennie Macintosh designs, combined with modern locations such as Glasgow’s Armadillo. We’re delighted with the result.
Wendy Espie, Tennents
I have commissioned Steven a couple of times and wish I could work with him more often. He is not only one of Scotland’s most talented illustrators, he’s one of the most talented guys I’ve ever worked with anywhere. And on top of that he’s a really nice bloke too. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

‘Grafter’, now there’s an old-fashioned word. Not one that you hear applied to creative people that often though, is it? However, if you’re lucky enough to commission or collaborate with Steven Bonner you’ll soon understand the value of it. Steven is an extremely rare animal, a breathtakingly creative designer and illustrator who combines a razor-sharp creative eye with a great ability to skip round the latest technology and a sound understanding of a brief. We’re all massive fans.
