THE WORK OF STEVEN BONNER
Steven Bonner is a Scottish graphic designer, illustrator and typographer with a global client base. His work has been recognised by number of bodies including the D&AD, the Type Director’s Club, the Art Director’s Club, Communication Arts, and the American Advertising Awards amongst others. He has also had the honour of being ranked on AdWeek's list of the top 100 creatives worldwide, as well as The Drum's 'Designerati' list of the top 100 UK creatives.
Steven's strengths lie in his ability to cross disciplines without the baggage of a rigid personal style, and this versatility has seen his work used to drive advertising, branding, editorial, publishing, and packaging projects.
Although typically, his love of illustrative imagery and expressive typography almost always inform his work in some way, Steven's background in graphic design helps to create a well rounded and realistic approach. He believes that there is no one size fits all approach and aims to treat each project as an individual to avoid imposing a house-style on clients. His focus on this 'blank canvas' approach for each brief, coupled with over fifteen years experience has led to a varied portfolio of work and a reputation for reliability.
Having worked for a number of years as an independent, Steven has previously also held roles as a Senior Creative at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, and as Design Director at Stranger and Stranger in San Francisco. He is currently working as Design Director with D8 in Glasgow, Scotland while also maintaining relationships with his own clients.
